To any passerby, this three-bedroom house looks just like any other home on the street.
But once you step inside you’ll quickly discover it’s actually pretty extraordinary, and it’s been described as “one of a kind”.
Pictures of the house were shared on Twitter after it was spotted on a property sale and rental site, and people can’t believe what’s hidden behind the walls.
The man wrote: “I just discovered the greatest house listing of all time. It starts out very unassuming and modest.”
He starts off by sharing a picture of the garden which, although it has a pool, patio area and a gorgeous wisteria plant over the pergola, doesn’t hint at the secrets to come.
But as he makes his way through the house things start to surprise him.
The dining room doubles up as a “command centre”, and the rear wall opens up to the “spaceship main bridge-working computer and controls from an Apache Helicopter…”
But that’s not all – head up the spiral staircase and hidden among the three bedrooms is a beach.
Yes, the “den area” has been converted into a beach with sand, seaside themed wallpaper and a wooden hut – brilliant.
He starts off with the garden, saying: “Then, you see the yard and think ‘wow, that’s somewhat surprising'”
At first nothing in the house seems out of the ordinary as it features a modern white and grey galley kitchen.
The bathroom, although dated – the house is nearly 50 years old – isn’t hiding any secrets either.
But it’s when the man sees the “13th century castle décor sunken living room with dramatic, high, oak beamed ceiling, a brick fireplace and a Ladder to an elevated library” that he says: “that’s not quite what I expected.”
Clearly the owner has a sense of humour as in the house overview they said: “Time Travel at Warp Speed to the 25th Century Starship. A Talking Space Alien that greets you as you walk toward the floor to ceiling, outer space wall mural.”
He continues: “Then, things start to escalate.” “The dining room command centre rear wall opens up to the spaceship main bridge-working computer and controls from an Apache Helicopter, speakers and a 55 Inch Screen (TV works).”
If you take the spiral staircase upstairs to the second floor you’ll find a den area, and three bedrooms – one of which is tropical island themed and the other is a “1970 Hippie crash pad bedroom with a Queen water bed.”
“And before you know it, WHAT THE F*** IS HAPPENING HERE?”
Sure enough, what we assume is the “den area” has been converted into a beach equipped with sand, a blue sky backdrop, pot plants and a wooden seating area – and it looks insane.
